CDex

Audacity
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
CDex can extract the data directly (digital) from an Audio CD
so not use full.
Audacity was very hard to mange but seems to be able to convert files, but only 1 per time :( is there a mulitple file converter?

fre:ac (Free Audio Converter) should be able to do everything you need.

i cant seem to find a AIFF support on these? I mostly need a AIFF to FLAC converter now. I already have wav to flacs now. Seems like there is no converter for AIFF->FLAC?

dBpoweramp can do that and has 21 day free trial.

Hi guys!
I'm new to MusicBee but what I've found out so far is great!! Thank you, Steven, for that awesome piece of software.
Well, Silas, the only freeware/Free Software (Open Source) I know that are able to convert from AIFF to FLAC (because it is told in the descriptions of these programms) are
1.) winLAME and
2.) Foobar2000
But I haven't tried it. So it's up to you.
Good luck!

Did this:
covert from aiff to wav. from wav to flac. Thanks anyways

FLAC can store files with less space, keep metadata tags, keep album cover art, and has support for fast seeking. Converting WAV to FLAC will keep metadata tags. If you prefer, you can follow the guide to convert WAV to FLAC:http://www.bigasoft.com/articles/how-to-convert-wav-to-flac-on-mac-and-windows.html

For the record, TAudioConverter can transcode most anything, is free, open source and kind of "approved" by the Hydrogenaudio community (a tough crowd :D) : http://taudioconverter.sourceforge.net/
-
It can be done directly in MB.
Is there a reason to look for a 3rd party app?

Thanks for your recommendation! :)
I've tried the app and I can recommend it too as a perfect addition to MusicBee (until some MB external components and presets are updated).
