Title: Help wanted with new skin.
Post by: Analien on February 22, 2012, 07:27:56 PM
1. How can I change this so that the ratingstars appears in the red square, eg. in the tracklist without highlighting the track, like they are in the normal highlight of the track just under? I've tried several options but it just won't change.

2. How can I change the icons, e.g the new tab, refresh, etc ... ?

3. How can I change the ratings here? I've tried several options here to, same thing, it won't change.

1. No setting that I know of, unhighlighted empty rating don't show up in MusicBee.
2. Currently there isn't any element that effect those buttons.
3. Check the skin file, are there any StarRating elements at the end of the color elements? if so, try changing those.

Thanks for the fast answer.

3. I only find ratings for the miniplayer. Maybe I have a really old skinfile? (I'm using Spooky Black as a base.)
2. OK, that's a pity.
1. Same as above.

i can add settings for those buttons, but i am quite busy at the moment so it might be a while and i'm only willing to do this if your intention is to share the skin

Add those to the end of the color elements:
<!-- 79-->  <element id="Player.StarRating.Default" fg="200,200,200" />
<!-- 80-->  <element id="Player.StarRating.Lowlight" fg="70,70,70" />

Lowlight colors the unselected stars, and default colors the selected stars.

Yes, my intention is to share the skin. I will also do more skins in the future. Now that I kinda got the hang of it.
That would be nice if you could do that.
Don't worry, take your time .. it will take me some time to finish the skin anyways.

Thanks, RotemK.  I see. In this Spooky Black I have there is line 78 and then the next one is 81. :)

Also, how can I change this? The volume-line, or what to call it. I want it to be soomewhat darker, as it is now it almost disappears.

i've added these 2 elements for the buttons - its in the next update
  <element id="Panel.HeaderButtonOverride.Default" fg="235,25,135" />
  <element id="Panel.HeaderButtonOverride.Disabled" fg="25,125,235" />

the volume slider is not obvious: "Player.Background"  fg
