Title: Please add autodj preference for Now Playing window
Post by: Peekstra on November 25, 2011, 11:08:24 AM
I took me quite a while to find out why the autodj function was enabled when I selected an artist with a doubleclick as a lot of other artists were automatically added to the now playing window (the icon in the top left corner).

Maybe an option can be added to the now playing preferences page to toggle this, or have I overlooked this option somewhere (in the preferences)?

thanks!

Yep, I also finally discovered the button there by accident  ;)

Hopefully an option will be added though to make this feature easier to access.

i have seen confusion around the auto-dj before and i still dont really get why.
you can invoke the auto-dj 3 ways:
- from the auto-dj node
- right click a track/ send to/ auto-dj
- right click/ play more/ turn on auto-dj

when its enabled, the auto-dj icon displays in the now playing list and as mentioned it can be turned off by clicking it or right click/ play more/ turn off auto-dj

only for the last method does the auto-dj stay turned on after you initiate a new now playing list or restart MB. But for the last option surely anyone doing that knows they have turned on the auto-dj

So my question is does the auto-dj stay turned on in some cases when it shouldnt?
