Title: Save album art on device with bmp format (convert)

My device support bmp files only (using sansa e280 with rockbox). is it possible to automatically convert jpg to bmp and then save it in the song folder?

i gather sansa e280 is an MTP device, but with the rockbox firmware does it appear as a USB device eg. with a drive letter mapping?
the reason i ask is if its being detected as an MTP device, i can query the device for its capabilities with pictures. Otherwise if presents itself as a USB device i would need an option in the device settings
