Hi, I have used musicbee for many years, but recently when I add a new folder (while musicbee is running) the files are auto added to music library as normal, but the folders are not showing up in the folder view.
My music is stored on my Synology NAS and I have this displayed as network share in the leftside bar. This is how I always add new music and until now the folders have always shown immediately. I know that the files are added to the library as I can search for them but the containing folder does not show in folder view unless I close and open musicbee again.
I have recently updated to version 3.5.8249 but have at the same time updated my Synology DS218+ to DSM 7.1-42661 Update 4 , and was wondering if this has something to do with the change or anyone else has experienced this?
Cheers

Hi, I think I might have the same problem, although not on a NAS. I haven't used MB over the summer, but recently got back and updated it. I'm far from a superuser, but as I recall, whenever I made changes that should be reflected on the folder system (in the navigator in the left sidebar), nothing happens. In Windows Explorer, all changes are visible but it is as if MB didn't automatically updated the Computer Panel.

there is an issue with signalling the folders be refreshed in 3.5.8249
This should fix the issue:
https://getmusicbee.com/patches/MusicBee35_Patched.zip
unzip and replace the existing musicbee application files

Thank you Steven, it now works!

Hello,
it seems I have the same problem. No new folder within my library will be scanned.
Does your fix also work with 3.4 (from MS store)?
I would not know, where to place the files.
Thanks.
P.S. By the way, I think MusicBee is by far the best you can get! Thanks!

No it doesn't.
That's an important drawback of using the Store version.
Which has been discussed and explained on this forum many times.

v3.5 will be released, including to the store, in the next few weeks
