Title: Automatically relink offline songs in playlists after folder structure change
Post by: sam76 on January 01, 2022, 11:37:46 AM
Hello Community,

I have a question. I want to re-sort my folder structure outside of MuscBee where my music is stored, as it is currently a mess.

In doing so, I noticed that when I sort or rename the folders, those songs in the playlists then go offline. (Pattern of the folder name is mostly "Artist" - "Year" - "Album").

Is there any way to tell MuscBee to automatically search for the offline files and relink them to the new path to have the songs online again in the playlists.

Thanks for your help

Greetings,
Sam

Welcome to the forum sam76. Are you aware that you can do so within MusicBee itself?
When you use its File Organizer (https://musicbee.fandom.com/wiki/File_Organization), the re-linking is automatically done for you.

Hi Mayibongwe, no, I didn't know that. I will definitely have a look at it. Thank you 🙏
