Title: Release the output device when not playing
Post by: liviu_c on November 09, 2021, 08:34:56 AM
Hi, nice player.
There is one annoying thing - i use to do other stuff when listening HQ music at (over ASIO) - gaming or short gifs with sound on 9gag...
It's not fun to close the app just for 2-3 second for a gif.
I understand that the source is exclusive, but that exclusivity can be broken when the player is idle, and the resource be reclaimed when starting playing again. Audirvana has this option as a button - to release the resource, i'm guessing that it can be taken to next level - that button to release the resource to be triggered by "pause" or "stop" buttons from the player.
Thanks, nice work!

a device is released if playback is stopped (not paused). If the player control doesnt have a stop button, hold the shift key down and click the play button
