Title: one time export of Playlist as *.m3u?
Post by: pstein on June 28, 2021, 06:44:57 AM
Assume I setup a playlist and let it be exported automatically in *.m3u8 format into exported playlist folder.

It works.

However sometimes I need the same playlist in *.m3u format.
For that I need a way to export the current playlist in this different format.

I guess just renaming *.m3u8 into *.m3u could cause troubles.

The "export" context menu does not offer *.m3u as output format.

So how else can I export the current playlist as *.m3u?

did you try? I dont think .m3u format is strictly defined that the text has to be in ascii format so you might find the tool you are using works with utf-8 formatted text

The "export" context menu does not offer *.m3u as output format.
The single export choice available from the context menu will always reflect the format choice you make in Prefs->Library->Playlists->exported playlists.  As you can see below, *.m3u is available as a choice there.  Change that to the m3u format you want and that will then appear in the context menu export.
