Title: possible to block media keys on MusicBee?
Post by: settra on April 08, 2021, 09:20:05 AM
Hello everyone. i know this might sound like a strange question , but i have the following issue:

I run a custom setup, which uses spotify and musicbee. I use programs to control both players, and i can control musicbee directly from java using the MusicbeeIPC.
My problem is that spotify does not listen to "global" hotkeys when minimized, and it would be easier if i could just simulate the media keys..
Prob is that MusicBee always listens to them first!

Any solutions? thanks!

delete or untick global for the Multimedia: xxx hotkeys in Preferences/ Hotkeys

wow! thanks for the fast response! :D

I did, and even deleted the hotkeys completely.
Unfortunately the other players still don't react.  It seems that Windows still redirects them to MusicBee, and it just doesn't do anything since no hotkey is assigned?
