Title: At A Loss
Post by: Smudger on March 10, 2021, 05:37:42 PM
Hiya Again

sorry to be a nuisance

I have uninstalled and reinstalled MB but the library reports are coming back with what appears flase information stating that I have 999 Tracks from an Artists Va

I have checked my artists and have no such artists. Likewise with elvis presley stating 1348 tracks when I only have 150

Where is the actual MB database stored as I will delete that now as it may be conflicting

Regards

Va could well be Various Artists
To make certain that those artists are indeed not in your library:

Press [Ctrl]+F3  (custom search), and do a search for the artists that you believe get incorrect statistics.
Is the outcome of these searches also different from the library report?

Totally different, I am currently doing another scan, after reinstalling MB

Where is the db file stored?

It would be the .mbl file in the library folder of your choice when you created the library.
If you are using more than one library there will be more .mbl files.

Sure you can delete them, but that will delete all information about the library, not only statistics.

Do you have any clue at all why a.g. Elvis Presley showed such a discrepancy?
Did you have a lot from him in the past?
Did you have another library that contained music from him?

I would also check that you're on the latest version of MusicBee (see my signature). I recall that there was a bug involving artists being counted multiple times for a track if they were credited in multiple rples. Almost 10 times higher seems unlikely even so, but it's worth a try.
