Me, mostly John Coltrane and Miles Davis. I have a new found love for jazz. Also got the new live album from Iron Maiden today.
What about you guys?
-
Listening to romantic songs in this cold season. ~Can you feel the love tonight
-
Just discovered (or rediscovered) the Stranglers and my love of new wave.
-
I'm currently listening to Air Supply. Still a fan of it ;)
-
A Reference Recordings CD (and rip) of Clark Terry's The Chicago Sessions 1995-96. On Miles Davis, by the by, my most recent discovery was a Verve CD of Ascenseur Pour l'Échafaud [Complete Recordings] (searched for it after having seen the film). Welcome to the world of Jazz, which I got into seriously around the dawn of the new century. Coltrane and Davis are as essential as it gets.

Don't overlook Monk.

Absolutely. I was mostly reinforcing the OP's selections. I might not have been able to neglect Louis, Ella, Duke, Dizzy, Charlie, and Brubeck, if I had volunteered Monk. ;) ;D ::)

Been a while since I made this thread so... right now I've been listening a lot to Fleetwood Mac. Also Blaze Bayley since he's releasing a new album on April 9. For those who don't know him, he was Iron Maiden's singer for a few years in the 90s.
-
Recently Warren Zevon's "Bad Luck Streak in Dancing School" album, classic.

In an obsessive Power Pop phase right now. Way down the rabbit hole in Apple Music with related artists of related artists of related artists. Been picking up the incredible International Pop Overthrow 22 volume series as I can. Mad library growth these past three months.
Get the Knack is an all time top 10 album for me and I can't believe I never bothered to listen to But the little girls understand and Round Trip until this weekend. What was I thinking? Never believe the lying media. They're not as good, but they don't miss that mark by all that much like it's made out to be.
In Power Pop there are guys who try to sound like 1964 and guys who try to sound like Elvis Costello and despite being a big Beatles guy I'm very much in the Elvis Costello camp on this. Give me distorted guitars, big drums and sneering vocals every day of the week.

Ha, funny, I am experiencing that with City pop.

It's strange what hits you at a certain time. I've always sort of favored that late 70s / early 80s aesthetic, but I must have heard something back at the end of 2020 that really got to me and I started down this path and I can't seem to stop. Good luck with your journey - mine has been kind of thrilling to be honest.

Kudos! It such a nice thread especially for me whom music is my life. Music for me is just something that helps me escape and be totally free from everything.

Cool! Music is awesome like that. 8)

Listening to Etta James ("The Essential" CD). Knew who she was but not her music. Very impressed so far.

Lots of lossless wonders through the balanced output of my new HiBy R3 Saber player: extraordinary.

Lately I've been rediscovering some of the older stuff I have. Reminiscing the good ol'd days of ALiCE'S EMOTiONS and early Alstroemeria Records stuff. Quite a lot really. All the old anime OPs and EDs too that I collected over time.
Last few albums I listened to this week have been Cowboy Bebop: Blue, Electronica Tunes -FINAL FANTASY Series-, Touhou Jihen's ESCAPE FROM WEST, and many more.
-
I've got my whole collection on a random album shuffle right now and I'm rediscovering a lot of the folky acoustic stuff I loved in my early 20s -- Indigo Girls, Lowen & Navarro, Michelle Malone, disappear fear, Drivin N Cryin, Darden Smith, Gregson & Collister. I'm also wondering where the hell the last 30 years went.

Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra: Live in Cuba
Wonderful recording!
FLAC rips are nice; and then there is a FLAC (often, even lossy) rip of a great recording.
Remarkable sound rendered even in my car, through Bluetooth, of files on my Samsung phone's SD card...
-enabled by MusicBee, of course
-
Aespa – Dreams Come True (https://sonneriebb.com/aespa-dreams-come-true/) is the song I've been listening to lately
-
Probably because it's the Christmas season and the New Year is coming, so I really like listening to Christmas and New Year music. Such as Happy new year by ABBA, Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town by Mariah Carey
