Title: Column browser
Post by: ChriUwe on November 06, 2020, 07:55:11 PM
It would be very helpful if you could save different columns in the column browser for each playlist.
Unfortunately, the same columns are now active in all playlists!

This is already implemented for different custom layouts.

Hi,
as often in MB - this already exists, but is a tad hard to find (if by Column Brosers you mean the spreadsheet like Tracks view...?).

Have a look here:
On top of the panel there's:
Tracks \/
Press the: \/
Then:
Custom Views -> Copy Current View Settings to...
Save .mbv file in place
Every saved file then can be loaded into a tab independently (i.e. I use different Custom View files vor Playlists VS Music Lib....)

Hope this helps & is what you're looking for.
c.

You can do the same with tab layouts which include the column browser. Just right click on the tab header to see the options

Thanks for your answer Steven.
I have tried that and it works.

But I want to define different column browsers for different playlists.
That means I would also have to define a custom layout for each playlist.
If I have 5 different playlists with 5 different column browsers, that means 5 tabs with 5 custom layouts!

So it would make a lot more sense if you could control that with the custom views.
