Title: How to turn line background of currently played song to grey?

I double clicked onto a song in my playlist.

It is played.
At the end MusicBee jumps to the next song in list (=next line).
And yes, the arrow left of the current song line indicates the active song.

However I would prefer to have the background of the currently played line in light grey because its easier to recognize.

Is this somehow possible?

Look in Preferences > Now Playing. You can either choose to have the playing track selected, which would recolor the background (but might get in your way) or have the text recolored.  You would have to make a wish list request to change the background without selecting the track.
