Hmmph.  Seems to be the case here too, or too subtle for me??  3.4.7556P, Wasapi Exclusive..

it currently only works with wasapi shared but i can make an enhancement to support other output modes

Ah, that explains it.  Cool if that could be offered for other outputs, but if that involves adding any bit manipulation to the path, I'd take a "pass."  Seems pretty smooth as-is which is why I hadn't noticed it WASN'T active, unlike for example XMPlay where it radically changes the steepness when not used.

Thanks Steven--working now just fine with 3.4.7562 and wasapi-exclusive.
