Title: Physical tag
Post by: clausskou on August 19, 2020, 09:01:32 AM
I have ripped some of my physical cd's. And intend to keep the physical cd. I would like to mark the songs in MusicBee that I still have the physical cd in order to keep track of this.

How have you done in MusicBee? Added a tag?

Looking forward to hear your experience.

Hi, check:
Preferences -> Tags(1) tab -> Define Custom Tags
Should be well documented how to use this.

There are plenty of ways you can go about doing this. I'll outline a few.

Put them all in the same folder.
Add a "LABEL" tag and name it something unique (such as "Physically Owned") so they will show up when you search for that label.
Add them all to a playlist and go into album view in that playlist.

I'd personally go the Label tag route.

This is what I've done. I have a custom tag called "Owned" that says CD, LP, download, etc.
