I searched the forum that mentioned any of this, but I haven't found any similar topics concerning this feature: Podcast Tracklist Controls
First off, thank you for this software, it offers so much customization and control already.
So a MusicBee feature wishlist would be a Podcast Tracklist Controls.
Synopsis:
Podcast episodes are usually downloaded as one file, but could offer more control for each episode through track-listing.
Its possible to navigate through the episode via timestamp links provided by the podcast. These are probably hyperlinks.
Currently MusicBee doesn't offer this kind of navigation control, to my knowledge.

I dont understand what you are saying. Can you provide an example rss link so I can see for myself

Hey Steven thanks for the reply.
Here is an RSS feed:
Above and beyond - group therapy
http://static.aboveandbeyond.nu/grouptherapy/podcast.xml
They use the "chapters" function that are timestamps to skip to a certain timeline in the podcast.
For example in the mobile app Podcast Addict:

I guess you arent using the latest v3.3 from the downloads page as it splits the episode into separate virtual files.
I dont think it will work on files already downloaded
-
i'm on version 3.3.7367
and i've not seen it split the episodes, is this an optional hidden feature?
or maybe the feed in particular does not support this feature?

Try the latest version from the first forum topic. The file is split when its added to the Playing Tracks list. I tested it with the podcast feed you provided

i've installed the latest from: https://www.mediafire.com/file/q7xbxr7hipn1ccu/MusicBeeSetup_3_3_Update6.zip/file
i've removed the feed and it's content and resubbed to test.
but doesn't seem to split episodes for me at all, it shows the the episodes on the Playing Tracks list however, just like before.

The chapter is displayed in the player controls panel - i can see it from your screenshot. If you hover the mouse over the track bar, the chapter will show in the tooltip text and pressing the play next button will go to the next chapter in the file.

oh cool, so it's a bit of a hidden feature. i can skip to the next timestamp, can i extend this feature by adding fields to manually select a timestamp? of course navigating through the whole track-timeline works as well and it shows the track-titles.
