Switched from foobar2k after more than 15 years!
I've already tried a search (and also looked through all of the player preferences/options) but wasn't able to find a way to change the opacity of the entire player.
I want to be able to see some of the background picture through the player.
Thanks!

switch to the Compact Player view and you can set the opacity

Thank you for the comment.
So this functionality is not available on other views?
Where can I toggle the opacity on compact player view? I tried looking for it without avail

MusicBee Menu (top left), Customise Panel, move the cursor transparent / opaque.
-
Any chance of this being applicable to the Mini Player in a future update?

Make a wishlist request for it if you'd like to see it implemented.

Hello I'm on v3.3.7491, but I don't have that transparency setting you pointed to here. See the screenshot below.
I set it to a lower opacity but I can't find the setting again to return it back to normal.

Same. Cannot find compact player transparency slider using 3.3.7491. Thanks!

Click the down arrow next to MusicBee (in the header) > Customize Panel > slider is on the top right. If you still don't see it, you may have to update to 3.4.x

Its not available when the compact player view is set to Playing Tracks.
Switch to the "Artist", or "Large Album" view and the opacity can be changed

That did the trick! Thanks!
