I recently installed a new AV system that happens to use HDMI to pipe audio from my PC to an A/V receiver. Unfortunately, since I have Windows configured to power off the displays after 15 minutes, that meant having music stop every 15 minutes of inactivity.
I know this has been the subject of a few controversial topics on these forums but I did not find a satisfying answer. So I did what developers do, I wrote some code.
The source is here : https://github.com/julienadam/MusicBeeNeverSleeps/
And the releases are here : https://github.com/julienadam/MusicBeeNeverSleeps/releases/
When this plugin is enabled and music is playing, it prevents Windows from powering off the displays. If no music is playing, Windows will do its default thing, most likely power off the display after X minutes.
There's nothing to configure, just install the plugin and it's done, no more display power off while playing.

My bad. Even though I don't want my monitors to sleep, I probably should on my end ::)

thx man...i was looking for this for so long.

Does this effect hibernate status also? Or is just sleep?

BTW, over the last month or two since I've been using the last MusicBee beta at least, and I think the official release, MusicBee just having it "open" doesn't allow my computer to go to SLEEP.
So, I've noticed this many times (often nap)... I don't know if it's supposed to, if it's a bug, a feature, but just reporting something I've noticed.
So, it's possible the Plugin isn't needed?
