Title: Assign Hotkey to Search for Text in Clipboard
Post by: zkhcohen on May 21, 2019, 07:16:50 AM
Hi Folks,

Here's a simple plugin I created which will search your library for text in your Windows Clipboard when you hit the assigned hotkey.

At the moment I have it searching for contents of the track title.

It's a pretty rudimentary plugin, but it definitely has room to grow.

Download Link:

Click Here. (http://www.mediafire.com/file/g80o0e9st0iidbs/mb_Clipboard-Search.zip/file)

Instructions:

1. Drag mb_Clipboard-Search.dll from the Plugins folder to your MusicBee Plugins folder, typically located at: C:\Program Files (x86)\MusicBee\Plugins.
2. Open MusicBee and go to Edit > Edit Preferences > Plugins and enable mb_Clipboard-Search.
3. Go to the Hotkeys section of the Preferences Pane and scroll down to "General: Search for Clipboard Text". Assign a hotkey.

Hi zkhcohen, any chance to add artist tag support to this or create something similar for artists too?

Really useful plugin by the way.
Thanks.

The ability of searching by artist would be very nice indeed.
