Title: 3.3 displays alternating colors for dropdown menu

I noticed this drop-down menu now displays alternating colors for several skins:

Is this an aberration or is there a new element to control this?

i dont see any reason for that not to have always been the case, but for the next v3.3 update MB will not show the alternating colours
