Title: Overall sound level is too loud
Post by: arkadius on May 30, 2018, 01:15:35 AM
I have the volume slider all the way to the left so the music is barely playing yet compared to all other programs the music is still very loud. I don't know if this is because I simply like listening to music quietly, but I was wondering if there was any way to reduce the overall volume so the slider is a bit more usable. I'm using ASIO Focusrite Scarlett Solo drivers as the player output in preferences, so I have no real control over the music in Windows mixer. Is there an easy way to reduce the overall playback volume without affecting quality? Thanks guys hope you're having a swell day! :D

You could lower the Device volume itself, and/or change the MusicBee volume to "use logarithmic volume scaling"  in prefs/player.  Also, check the preamp settings in the prefs/player/equalizer & DSP window to be sure you aren't applying any positive dB--if you had to, you could lower the preamp setting there as well.
