When I'm trying to convert any FLAC to AAC I get two different error in status column. 1. No output file was produced: check the encoding command line parameters which may be configured incorrectly in the File Converter Preferences. 2. Process with ID xxxx isn't executed.
The command line is the following: -s -V 127 --ignorelength - -o [outputfile]
I use the qaac 2.64
-
That command works for me without an error.
Try with latest qaac (v2.66) and also try with its recommended example code for MB.
-
I tried both, but it didn't help. Before my update to 3.2 it worked or maybe I forgot how to install it properly.
-
Nothing to install. Just copy the exe file and two dll files to MB's Codec folder and select the file in the AAC converter setting.
-
Well I've done it again, no results
-
Other encoders are working fine?
-
Yes, recently I've had problems with wave, but Steven fixed it.
UPD: No, Ogg encoder has the same issue
-
Then I have no idea. Steven may know what the issue is.

Nothing to install.
I forgot it requires Apple Application Support. You should have either iTunes or QuickTime installed: https://github.com/nu774/qaac/wiki/Installation

What would you recommend if I don't want to bloat my pc with apple soft?
UPD: I've installed iTunes for 64-bit OS and it helped, thank you very much

Instead of qaac?
I only used nero and qaac for AAC. You will have to test yourself for others:

No, I ment a way to avoid installing iTunes. Anyway thanks for the help, I think the topic should be removed to questions thread.

This makes sense: https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,107699.0.html
If you try it, let us know if it works. Personally I need iTunes anyway for syncing to my iPhone.
-
I found another solution, it could be convenient for those who has already installed iTunes it's possible to delete unnecessary components through windows control panel leaving only AppleApplicationSupport.
The method with 7-zip (from the link above) works fine, too.
I have a stupid question, is there any technical profit using encoder for 64-bit OS in MB for 32-bit?
-
Thanks for the report! Must be useful to other users.

@Steven, what's your thought?
-
MB does run at 32-bit on a 64-bit machine, but it can lauch a 64-bit encoder if you are using a 64-bit machine.
As to whether a 64-bit encoder offers any advantages over 32-but, I dont have any special knowledge about encoders to comment on that. I suggest you do a search of hydrogenaud.io which probably has covered it
-
I did some tests with qaac 32-bit vs. 64-bit on my Windows 10 Pro 64-bit machine.
In converting three FLAC albums independently, 64-bit version was consistently faster about 10% in average than 32-bit.
Can't say for other encoders, but qaac 64-bit seems to offer benefits in speed at least on a 64-bit OS machine (probably faster on 32-bit OS machines too but not sure).

This works for me. To sum up the info from redwing's link:
1. Download the iTunes installer from Apple
2. Download makeportable.zip from here: https://sites.google.com/site/qaacpage/cabinet/makeportable.zip?attredirects=0&d=1 (https://sites.google.com/site/qaacpage/cabinet/makeportable.zip?attredirects=0&d=1) and extract makeportable.cmd to wherever you put the iTunes installer
3. Run makeportable.cmd; it will make a folder named QTfiles, which contains everything you need from iTunes to use qaac without having to install iTunes or extract/run the Apple Application Support package from it.
4. Put the folder QTfiles in your MusicBee Codec folder with the qaac.exe and the 2 dlls from the qaac package.
