I don't get an error message, and my music syncs fine, but my playlists don't sync. If I delete all the playlist on the phone and then sync, it works fine. Otherwise, the sync says it was successful, but none of the playlists are updated. "Detect MTP" is set, and the path for Playlists is correct and it says it was successful. Any ideas?

When you check for playlist updates, are you looking at the actual file, or are you using a media player to view the playlist? I find that my media player doesn't always update right away.

Either. I go into file manager and view the playlist as text and it is not updated. Ditto when I go to Mediamonkey or Google Play Music. It does not appear it is updating on the device, but Musicbee seems to think it was.

Do the sync results in MusicBee show the playlists being copied?
My suspicion is that there's an issue with file modification dates, and MusicBee thinks it doesn't need to update the playlists.

Yes, MB shows that is has copied the playlist, it just isn't updated.

i recall there being a general issue on some android devices with playlists so you might try googling about that

I am using Mediamoney Android player and I am telling it to synch, it is not automatic

My suspicion is that there's an issue with file modification dates, and MusicBee thinks it doesn't need to update the playlists.
I just checked in File Manager and the date on the playlist shows 8/6 even though I played music today (8/9) so if MB is checking the date I don't understand why it wouldn't sync since the date must be different.

Are they static playlists or auto-playlists? If the former, do you have 'automatically export a static copy' enabled in the playlist's properties?
If the latter, do you have 'automatically refresh the matching tracks' -and- 'automatically export a static copy' enabled?

These are all new playlists that i created in MB. I don't see an option like 'automatically export a static copy'. In fact, I don't even see a way to view the playlist properties (sorry, I must be a newbee). I just update the playlist, plug in my device and tell it to synch. It is not configured to automatically synch.

Downloaded and installed and it is no better.
I checked the date/time on the playlist files before the attempted synch and the playlist "Top 25 Most Played" appears to have synched and none of the other playlist show their date/time as changed which is interesting. Several of them should have synched as I changed them.
Any ideas?
Right now I just go into my phone, delete the playlist, re-synch and everything is okay.

Same behaviour, it saves the playlist "Top 25 Most Played" (and takes over a minute to complete, which is unusual), it SAYS it updated the other playlists, but the date/time in the phone is not updated on all but the first.

the playlists are being deleted by MB with no error returned but afterwards the device is still saying the playlist exists.

Interesting, I installed the new MB version and performed a synch. It said it synched all the playlists but below is all that was in the log.

i must have accidentally left some debug code in.

No, all the playlists except the one have the old date/time of when I deleted and then they synched. The first playlist takes like 2 minutes to synch and the others only take like 10 - 15 seconds, though they don't work. Seems like a long time to synch doesn't it? Sizewise, the playlists are pretty small.

In that case i will leave this unsolved. If MediaMonkey is working correctly then it might be a better choice for you.

Well, I may have figured it out. I deleted ALL the playlists and re-synched twice and both times it updated all the playlists with the correct date/time/content. The odd behaviour where it took 2 minutes to synch the only playlist it was doing before is no longer occuring, leading me to believe there must have been something going on with the first playlist that caused the rest of them not to synch.
Anyway thanks for your help and staying with this. Should I go back to the original codebase?

Well, this is weird. I installed the version in the link you sent me and synced the playlists and it the same thing it did before. It updated the first playlist "Top 25..." and then no others. So i tried something different and I deleted that Top 25 playlist and the re-synced and everything synched correctly. Before, when it was processing the 1 playlist, it would stay for like 2 minutes on it and then every other playlist went fast, leading me to believe there was something wrong with that playlist.
I have now synched twice without that playlist and everything is okay. Like I said, weird.
