Title: Assigning the Artwork to ALL tracks at once, not one track at a time
Post by: jfcaffrey on April 04, 2017, 07:17:04 AM
Hi. Has anyone found a way to assign the artwork (album cover) to ALL tracks on a CD in one process, to avoid the need to add the artwork on a track-by-track basis?
Thanks for all positive, helpful recommendations. JFC

You can use third party tag editor like Kid3 (https://sourceforge.net/projects/kid3/) or something else.

Select all tracks and right click anywhere album art is shown.  Can be the album cover for album & tracks view, can be in the tag editor, can be in one of the sidebar panels, just be sure they're showing *selected* and not playing track.

Or in artist or album cover view, just right click on the album cover.

psychoadept - Thanks!! Very simple - and effective. I tried the following process: Select all tracks and right click, then choose "Edit", then "Artwork". Locate the needed image - and click Open. Then Save To - "link the picture to this music track" and "save to folder.jpg". Then finally hit Save.

This will save me much time, as I am steadily building a large collection of recordings (audiobooks, poetry, etc.) and I like to have as much album and track information as possible, including the artwork. Without this simple trick, I had to add the image (album cover) on a track-by-track basis.

Thanks again,   Jim

Zabir - Thanks for your suggestion. I had not heard of Kid3 - and I'll give it a good look over. Perhaps it could also be helpful to me in tagging my photography collection - now well past 50,000 images.

Again, thanks.   Jim

I've noticed this too and have also noticed that this is a rather flawed process as its just searching online for artwork song by song so you may end up with 6 different covers for one album. I goto Wikipedia  and type the album in. copy to clipboard then select the album and select paste artwork from the right click menu.

andrew - Thanks for the suggestion of searching for the album cover via Wikipedia. I hadn't thought of that. For my searches, I have used Google Images - and have often found what I needed. However, I see that, in many cases, the Wikipedia results can be more precise.
