Right up front, I'm no techie! So if you have an answer I would appreciate small recognizable words.
When a new song begins, a very nice pop-up appears (above the notification area) showing the album cover, name of song and the artist. It last for a few seconds & disappears. Later if I wish to view what song is playing, I place my curser above the tiny MusicBee icon (notification area) & tiny gray on white words appear stating the artist and song name. My question: Is it possible to have the large original pop-up appear, all of the time?
Thanks in advance. Sorry if you felt I was rambling.

There isn't really a setting to show the playback popup permanetly.
You can left click on the notification area icon and it will re-show or you can try this possible work-round.
Under Preferences> Now Playing> playback> show popup for:
enter something like 999 seconds, and make sure 'only when active' is not ticked.

Sorry I apparently was not very concise explaining my desires. I do not want the pop-up to last longer, I want the pop-up to return when I pass my curser over the MusicBee icon.
I do thank you for a speedy reply.

[SOLVED] I discovered, quite by accident, how to view the pop-up I wanted. Just a simple click on the MusicBee icon and there it is. If you hover over the icon you get the single grey on white info box. Additionally, I must inform everyone that I suffer from SOMS (Stupid Old Man Syndrome).

Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier, but I've been away for a few days.
I did point this out in my original reply.
You can left click on the notification area icon and it will re-show...
but am happy you got it sorted 8)
