Title: Persistent Window Locations
Post by: phred on November 05, 2016, 04:26:52 PM
When you get around to it, could you please make the 'Burn Disc' window remain in the position I place it?

Furthermore it would be great if -all- windows were made persistent. At this point in its development I find that most windows do remain where I place them, but every now and then I find one that doesn't stick.

Thanks.

EDIT: Found some more that don't remain where I place them- all of the new or edit playlist or auto-playlist or playlist mixer. When opening with a right-click on an existing playlist in the left sidebar.

I found another window that I'd appreciate remaining in the position I place it: the Expanded Panel Settings window.

Thanks.

And another one: Set Toolbar Buttons.

Thank you.

I think I have requested it before but I'll do it again, here, just in case ;)

The popup window when you double click on an album cover, and artist picture too.

It would be nice to get these included in the official release of 3.1

the above are done now. However for the double clicked large pictures, MB will try to use the same location but if the picture falls outside the screen bounds, the location will be adjusted to fit the picture

'Track Information' configuration is not remaining persistent.
I can open it two ways:
Preferences > Layout (1) > right sidebar > track information > customize layout

And with the 'Details' panel in the right sidebar, click on 'Details' > Customize Panel.

Interesting that the config panel opens in different positions depending on which way it is accessed. But moving either to my preferred position does not remain persistent.

Another window that should be made persistent: Locate Missing Files.

Thanks.

@Steven...

Tools > Locate Missing Files window, which was fixed with the patch of April 4, is now not maintaining its position.

Boroda74 has taken care of this: Nor are any of the windows from the Advanced Tagging & Reporting Tools plugin. Please advise if I should inform boroda74 about those.

the functionality is only implemented for the input windows, not the message popups

So either I' m imagining that that particular window was persistent previously, or the resulting window actually returned some missing files.
Thanks for looking into this Steven.
