Title: Natural number sorting
Post by: zkvvoob on August 07, 2016, 11:34:27 AM
Hello,

I've just started learning all the ropes around MusicBee, but I've not been able to understand this: is there a way to sort numbers naturally - i.e. after 1 comes 2,3,4, etc., not 10,11,12?

Here's a picture to demonstrate what I mean:

There are media players supporting “smart sorting” but MB is not one of them.
The workaround is to prefix e.g. Symphony 01

The additional tagging & reporting tools plugin is helpful for padding numbers.

It looks like you have a series or box set here.  If you were to make the Album value the same for all of them (moving the volume # and title to grouping, for instance), then you could use the disc # field and sort by album
