Title: WAV tags: sample & bit rates

Hello again!

Another thing I've found when importing WAV files that have been mixed down in Cubase is that MusicBee shows both the sample rate and bitrate as Unknown! Is there any way I can effectively re-tag these files with this info?

I started downloading some albums in WAVE and also noticed that some properties are unknown also.

Do have or are you able to put the file on a server, or even open the file in a hex editor and send me the first 100 or so bytes ?

I just noticed that the only waves missing the properties are those that are 24-bit. 16-bit waves have all the information.

that doesnt appear to be a PCM wave file. The specs i am looking at dont indicate what format that is.
If you can play the file then i can look at using the bass library to retrieve that info

It shows as a 24 bit WAVE Audio in MusicBee. It plays fine.
Perhaps I have the HEX editor showing the wrong info? I wasn't sure how to use it. I just copied the first 4 lines at 32 bytes each.
I will upload the file to a server.

this uses the bass library when the format is not recognised by MB:

OK, now that did it.
Now it is showing everything. :)

So is this patch not apart of the full download?
