Title: can't paste artowrk from windows explorer copy?

Trying to "paste artwork" for artist, genre thumbs etc.. I can copy from an internet browser window and paste to the thumbnail. But I can't copy a file from windows explorer from my folders. The "paste artwork" option just stays grayed out. This is running MB as administrator as well. Is this normal or not?

Are you copying from a filename or from an image?  It won't work if copying a filename.   You need to display the image.  Open the image, copy and then paste.  Or drag the image to MB.

I tried copy like one would to copy and paste any file between Windows... Select thumb, cntrl+c/or right click select copy, attempt to paste. I also tried drag/drop. Same method I do from the Internet browser that works. Copy or drag/drop from Internet browser works. Copy or drag/drop from windows explorer does not. I do have copy whiz extension installed... A copy utility. Not sure if this could be changing anything.

Direct copy from explorer is not possible.

open the image in windows photo viewer and copy then paste.
