Perhaps the stars should be gold in the currently playing track like in the Dark skin? I know it isn't like that for the Grey skin, but I'm just curious if anyone else would think that would look better.

I meant the currently playing track's stars. The stars are still that silvery shade in the mini-mode and when the player is at the bottom.

Skin XML: http://www.mediafire.com/file/rb39lbdolar7k5h/Cool Blue.xml

Changes:
- Song notification pop-up is now consistent with the rest of the skin.

mini player still needs works, will be fix in the next update.

Was there ever any update to this skin with regards to the stars in the mini-player not matching? I never saw one. Also, could the min/max/exit buttons be streamlined into the menu/title bar like in the dark skin?

Updated XML: http://www.mediafire.com/file/azt13sztm8mt1ot/Cool%20Blue.xml
Updated Screenshot: http://j.imagehost.org/view/0316/Cool_Blue

Changes:
- Star-rating color in miniplayer adjusted to white. Not sure what I've last posted but over here those where yellow, didn't liked it tho, so I've switched it to white.
- Brighter looking mini-player.
- New splash-screen.

@thund3r:
take a picture of the buttons like you like them and upload that here.

Enjoy !

Update to the stars is nice. It just wasn't consistent before, but all better now.

As for the menu bar and min/max/exit buttons, I just wanted them to be the same as the Dark skin, but blue (since it's the blue skin). I would take a picture, but it wouldn't help explain anything since it's nothing new. Basically, in most of the other skins and this blue one, the menu bars take up two 'rows', the top one has the logo and then on the far right are the window/exit buttons like all windows programs. Below that are the file, edit, etc buttons. The Dark skin however has all of this in one row with sleeker window/exit buttons. I think the same should happen for Blue skin.

i have a question here. The logo of musicbee changes to a customized version in this skin. Well is it right?

It's a diffrent logo. one I designed. the original is the one the forum's community picked some time ago.

@thund3r:
Here's the thing, in the dark skin the uppermost border is completely black, so the menu buttons are set to black as well and all is good.
In here the border has a gradient in it, making it look round.. there is no way to make the menu buttons 'sink' in to that.
I'll see when Steven has some free time on his hands and maybe try and see if there is a way around this.

It seems more "Powder" Blue than "Cool" ... it's too bright. Could keep this and just make a somewhat darker version with the powdery parts closer to a medium to dark blue, but keep the file backgrounds white as there are already too many black/coal/grey colored skins.

I do like some of the visual refinements that have finally worked their way to these older skins.

I agree, I even considered changing the name to Sky Blue. and I probaly will in the next few updates.

About the darker blue, I don't think I'll be making any darker version any time soon. that said, would you rather use the old blue version?

This is the old version with the fixes that the new one has.

Would you like to see this skin continued?

I like that darker one better. I think the new skin elements give this glowing effect to everything which makes things appear brighter. Maybe name this one Cold Blue if you're not renaming the other - or don't. I'm sticking with this one for now :)

I think it's right step. The new skin is really 'Cool' and I like it very much, but the name 'Cool' is in fact meaningless.

I have the idea that might come up to the older version supporters expectations: merge the two skins  ;D
I would choose the darker frames form the old version and use the "Powder" (sorry for borrowing the word but I hope you know what I mean) colour of the frames from the new version as a background for the Main and Now Playing panels instead of the current white.
The Player Control Panel at the bottom looks slightly better in the new version, IMHO  :)

BTW, I like both skins but maybe the idea is worth considering  ???

To the merging idea, Rotem already handled that to a point with that darker skin. It's a quick fix, but it's enough to make it less "powdery".

I like the white background. I know it's not the most graphically pretty thing, but I like that I can READ the text easily. I guess I'm boring when it comes to program skins.

Is this grey intended colour for Player Control Panel on the top of the Now Playing list and Compact Player  ???
