Title: Non linear volume slider
Post by: datobbs on September 06, 2014, 05:14:18 PM
The volume slider is seems to have exponential mapping. If the slider is two thirds of the way I can still barely hear the music. If the slider is all the way up the music is as loud as expected.

Try adjusting "use logarithmic volume scaling" setting under Preferences> Player to see if that makes any differences.

Yeah, that was it. Sorry for not looking for an option, but it has always been linear, then I upgrade to the latest version (skipped a few) and it's logarithmic. I don't remember ever setting it to that. If the default setting is logarithmic maybe it shouldn't be.

No, it's not. No idea why it was turned on for you.
