Title: Playlists without BOM in Android
Post by: lbelloq on July 22, 2014, 04:50:23 AM
Hi,

I've had some problems transferring my music to my HTC One. Basically, everything gets transferred properly (even with Japanese characters in the filename/content!). But Poweramp doesn't recognize some of the files the playlists point to.
I tried uploading music with MediaMonkey (ew!) and everything works OK (both configured to send playlists as M3U). The big difference I found is that MediaMonkey sends the playlists as UTF-8 with BOM, and MusicBee sends them as UTF-8 without BOM.
How can I configure MusicBee to fix this?

Thanks in advance,
Léster

i have updated MB so that when you configure your device playlists as M3U8, it now writes the BOM chars. This only affects MTP devices - it should already be the case for anything else

unzip and replace the existing files
