Title: Problem with cd ripping
Post by: R. Budnick on July 07, 2014, 04:21:56 PM
In the latest two versions I've experienced problems with the ripping tool. The software indicates that the rip is nearly accurate. I used windows media player to rip the same cd and that worked well. Is a fix possible?

Welcome to the forum!

I'm not clear on what the problem is, exactly.  Can you explain?

As far as i know WMP doesnt have accurate rip support so wouldnt be validating the rip in the same way MB does. Nothing has changed on the MB side with this for a couple of years and could be the data from accuraterip.com

Well, as things go, today I was able to accurately rip a cd. Should the problem recur then I will get back to you.  Thanks for the responses!

there is no point getting back to me because this is nothing to do with MB and its not a bug ie. MB is simply reporting what accuraterip.com is returning. If you are really concerned about ripping, for these cases use secure mode - its a lot slower though
