Title: Artist List at top of program
Post by: wszsr on May 14, 2014, 08:26:21 PM
I have been using Winamp but recently tried Musicbee and love it.  Still learning the program.  One question so far.

My artist box at the top has many strange words (tag words??) and characters in addition to the names of the artists.  Why is that and how do I delete them so only artists names are listed?  I am running the latest version of Musicbee.

Welcome to the forum!

Without seeing a screenshot it's hard to be sure, but this could mean that some of your tracks have extra tags that you don't see in the main panel.  Have a look in the Tag Inspector and see if there are any extra tags or other tag versions (ID3v1, for instance).  You can also delete them from the Tag Inspector:

If your tracks need to be tagged from scratch, there are a lot of good auto-tag options, such as tagging from filenames or using audio signatures to identify tracks.
