Is there a way for MB to save the play count to the id3 tag? I'd like to have the data saved directly to the file for easier syncing.
-
This function would be very useful for me, too. Is there any possibility or maybe workaround to do so?
Thanks in advance!

I wrote a short guide:

Hopefully, ASR could automate this process in the future.

Thanks to boroda74's quick update of the plugin, now play count can be auto-updated. Consult the edited guide for details.

Thank you for your quick answer, redwing!
I am busy these days but I will definitely try this out soon!
-
Works flawless :)
Is there also a way to do it the other way round - write it back to the "Play count"-field?
My use case: I want to generate a backup of all the played music files - and add them to another Music Bee installation later on. Would be very nice to keep the play count here!

Currently "Play Count" is not supported as a writable field with the plugin.
@boroda74:
Can you support this?
-
Yes, its possible. Though I don't promise that I'll do this quickly.
-
What a pity.
Thanks anyway!

Would be great if skip count too was writable. Take your time.

The request has been done for PlayCount, SkipCount and LastPlayed tags:

I didn't test this version very carefully, plugin regular functionality may be affected, but from my quick tests all is OK.

Working great, thanks!
