Title: 2014 in Music

Updated version of http://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=9215.0

I'm currently playing Katy B's new album 'Little Red'

I like the singles and thought I'd give some of the album a go. It's just catchy pop but I'm quite liking it

I'm enjoying the new Motorpsycho album 'Behind The Sun'. They're quite a strange Norwegian band (singing in English) with a 20 studio-album catalogue (plus some live albums and other collaborations including orchestral) stretching back 25 years.

Throughout their catalogue they play in a variety of styles (often in the same song):
· Indie Pop (especially their earlier albums)
· strong hints of psychedelia and 60's pop.
· retro-style of prog-rock/experimental-rock, occasionally reminiscent of 70's Zappa riffs.
· harder rock verging on (but never quite reaching) early metal and 90's grunge.

I'd suggest listening to their recent stuff first; I found had to be more eclectic with the earlier albums.
