I've tried searching this forum, and if I've overlooked something, then I apologize, but thus far I haven't been able to find the answer I am looking for.
What is the name of the element that affects the task Switcher window? The one you get in Windows when you use ALT + TAB.
I'm trying to customize a skin, and I haven't had any luck yet as to what element that affects this, which is why I'm asking here.
Below is an image of the window in question.

There isn't (not at the moment - not even sure if it'd be possible for any program to skin that. Have you seen it done somewhere?). Windows controls that I believe.
Edit: Your system theme and accent colour determines this

The reason I'm asking is because I've found a few skins that has the darkened window, but I haven't been able to find the element that affects it.

Are you using a light windows theme? In my brief testing earlier on, changing to light mode made 'dark skins' also have a light background in that section.
If you say some dark skin had a dark background when the windows mode was set to light, perhaps uu could share the name of such skins for investigation?
But no really, there isn't a MusicBee skin element that overrides that part of windows. (I should be careful and add "that I know of" :-)

I'm using dark mode on windows, and it's the blossom theme, which at least for me gives me the dark window in the Windows Task Switcher:
