Title: Track Rating
Post by: KeithA on February 18, 2023, 06:30:32 PM
I have just moved to MusicBee.  It seems great however I just ran into an issue.  I had previously applied ratings to some of my songs but when they are viewed in MB they parent showing.  I have noticed that MB lists a 5 star rating in the tag as 200.  However,  the previous software lists it as 10.  Is there any setting tweak to make them align?

Thanks

However,  the previous software lists it as 10.
In MusicBee, what figure do you see for the <rating> tag in the Tag Inspector? (which you can open from a right-click > edit) Is that the 200?

And also, when you display the <rating> tag in your main panel, what figure do you see there for such a track? (should be a digit between 0 and 5, I believe)

If you can establish a pattern between the actual rating from your previous player and the figures that MusicBee is showing in its <rating> field,
then you can easily filter your library accordingly and re-rate your files in batch (in other words, updating them to rating figures that MusicBee recognizes)
