Does anyone know how to change the size of the cover art shown in the given link?

I don't see any way to change it either. You can try requesting it in the wishlist board if you want.
First search the forum though, to see if there's an existing thread you can support. If you can't find one, then you can create a new topic for it there.

Not that it matters, but you forgot to wrap your image link with an opening img tag

You can set up an external application (Preferences > Tools > external application) such as the free FastStone Image Viewer. And then set it up so that MB opens the image in FastStone upon being double-clicked. (Configure this option at the bottom of the same config screen for external apps.
