Title: The text with parentheses is stripped in Multiple Artist Splitter
Post by: minor5pm on November 28, 2021, 03:23:00 AM
Version:
3.4.7805P

Steps to reproduce:
I typed following field values in Multiple Artist Splitter and clicked Update button.

Expected result:
All field values are keeped as I typed.

Actual result:
The text which was wrapped by parentheses in the "artist" field was moved to the "role/ instrument" field.
It was only applied when the "role/ instrument" was "Performer" or empty.

That looks as expected to me. When using Performer the role is in brackets "(role)". You need to use something else rather than round brackets

Oh, I never expected that. I have been used parentheses for annotating the name/title of non-native languages for years, rather than the role description.

Is that a common tagging rule for performer roles? Now I have understood there is a way to do so, however, I think it is good to have some flexibility on parentheses if possible.
