Title: Incorrect bitrate displayed for songs
Post by: SonicRings on November 22, 2020, 10:32:24 PM
This is an old issue I've noticed that I'm getting tired of putting up with. The bitrate for audio is simply incorrect. It seems to be doing a calculation of filesize/duration to spit out a bitrate, which is terrible because embedded artwork thus contributes to a file's bitrate.

Demonstrated here, I have embedded a 6MB PNG 10 times into a 16-bit, 44.1khz FLAC file from a CD rip to bloat its filesize.

Shown below, track 14090, is the bitrate of that song being displayed as 2948k, well beyond the maximum 1411k bitrate a 16-bit, 44.1khz file can be.

Foobar2000 displays the bitrate just fine. Can this be fixed so MusicBee can finally show the correct bitrate of a song?
