Will Music Bee not play .m4v files? Most of my filles from iTunes seem to be that and they are not playing when I double click them in Music Bee.

Do they work if you rename them to .m4a?

M4V is indeed a video container like psychoadept said, and the extension is not recognized by MusicBee;  even if they only contain an audio file, it may well be DRM protected, especially if you got them from iTunes--then they will not play in MusicBee in any case.  Do try Zak's suggestion though in case there is no DRM.
