Reogranise should be configured with #Sys.ctl.5EC44690#

Strange, it is translated in the file.
Is there another place where the same string is used, so that I can check?
Thanks

its occurred to me it probably should be:
#Sys.btn.5EC44690#

And this one is not in the translation files (unless I lost part of them in the process, always possible ;) )

Yes, and it does here as well :)
What I meant is that this string was not in the English .LNG files (unless I'm wrong)

Hi
There is a plural/singular glitch in the French translation for the dialog when removing a set of file from a playlist (visible quite often, that's the problem ;) )

See below the glitches underlined in red.
The right strings in French should be, resp:
- Retirer un fichier....
- Retirer de la liste et supprimer un fichier
- Retirer les 4 fichiers
- Retirer les fichiers...

Actually, the problem is that the article 'the' is invariable in English but varies in some other languages.
Yet the word "the" is enclosed in the main sentence in English ('Remove the {0}' for instance) and not in the filemsg strings such as '{0} selected files' or '1 selected file' or 'files' or 'file')
I suppose this is wider than just at this place and that it is a known (and accepted) issue.
But just in case... :)

Cheers

And trying to solve the issue on my side (in the translation file), I just have stumbled on another pb, regarding string #Main.msg.SelFiles1#:
- when I set its value to "1 fichier sélectionné", the displayed text is "fichier sélectionné", wrongly (the digit is not displayed)
- when I set its value to "Un fichier sélectionné", the displayed text is "Un fichier sélectionné", which is right.

Thanks

i will try and look at a solution at a future date. It might just be a hack for the obvious places though as any full solution would likely require retranslations

Thanks Steven

I think that we could solve the problem of "the" word by using some workarounds in translation, on our side only: such as, if a first string in the window shows the number of items, then the confirmation string below in the string can just read "do you want to delete le(s) fichier(s)", without number, taking care of both cardinalities in one sentence.
This would just be a short task for the translators, not for you (looking for and correcting the few translation entries with "the {0}" in English by removing "the" when needed or by using the above trick).

The only thing that could need some fixing your side, if confirmed, is the correct displaying of the "1" in the following strings (found in the translation file). Note that I haven't checked whether the problem occurs for each of them, as I'm not sure where they are all used :)

#Main.msg.Files1# 1 fichier
#Main.msg.SelFiles1# 1 fichier sélectionné
#Main.msg.DupFiles1# 1 doublon
#Main.msg.NewFiles1# 1 nouveau fichier
#Main.msg.Items1# 1 élément
#Main.msg.Albums1# 1 album
#Main.msg.Tracks1# 1 piste
#Main.msg.Plays1# 1 lecture
#Main.msg.Subs1# 1 inscription
#Main.msg.Artists1# 1 artiste
#Main.msg.Genres1# 1 genre
#Main.msg.Years1# 1 année
#Main.msg.MoreFiles1# 1 fichier supplémentaire
#Main.msg.ArtistsUpd1# 1 artiste mis à jour
#Main.msg.AlbumsCov1# 1 pochette d'album mise à jour

- A question:

In: #Main.field.178# Title (Formatted)

What is the meaning or intent of 'Formatted' here?

- An observation:

"#MBL.msg.VolumeMet#" has one 'the' too many.

it mostly useful for classical music - for files where the work/movement is displayed, this field will show the work, movement number and movement combined so the user doesnt have to create a virtual tag to achieve how iTunes displays a title for classicial music
