Hello
I'm using musicbee on a windows 10 tablet and i would need to store my music collection on an sdcard to freeup some internal storage.
I've moved my music library and everythings looks fine as windows's music library includes the new location.
However, musicbee does not detect my music stored on the sdcard.
I cant't even ad the location manually as the sdcardvdoesnt show up in the available locations in musicbee.
It seems that sdcards are only recognized as external devices.

Any clues?
thx

What version are you using? (Help> about)

Steven has made some changes in 3.1 because I was having challenges with an sd card, too.  But as long as the card has a drive letter, you should at least be able to see it.

Also, it would be helpful to have screenshots of what you're seeing and where the SD card should show up.

I'm surprised Steven hasn't weighed in on this.  I'll move it to bug reports, because it doesn't seem like expected behavior.

v3.1 allows devices to be scanned so i dont know why it wouldnt work without creating a debug version.
Did you try and drag/drop the files from windows explorer into the library?

Well, drag'dropping the folder on musicbee worked and changes made in the folder (adding, removing) seems to be working, that's great news.
However, I was unable to locate where it says the folder should be updated continuously or at startup...

Preferences > Library > Monitored Folders
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Ahhh ... well if -you- have no answer, I -certainly- don't.

I am absolutely no expert, lots I don't understand about how best to use MB, but...

My sdcard does not show up under my computer either, ie. my preferences look the same as jkrafft's first image

MusicBee does recognise it, however, as a "Device", with standard Music, Podcasts, Audiobooks, etc folders.
