We need to have an option to view artwork by single click.

Musicbee is the only music application that I have ever used that requires a user to double click on artwork to view it. And I have used many. I didn't even realise that you could view artwork when I first used MusicBee because when I single clicked, nothing happened, so I assumed you couldn't do it. A forum member had to tell me that I needed to double click, lol.

At least give users the choice. I know you will.  :)
My clicking finger is getting sore.

And make it a single click, please.  :)

-1, I wouldn't want to be accidentally opening artwork all the time.

I agree. Making this a single-click option would definitely be a mistake.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

But, why would you accidentally click on artwork for any other reason but to view it?  :o
MediaMonkey views artwork by single click, and I have never accidentally opened artwork in over 10 years of using it.

  • Now with FiiO M11!
Single-clicks are intended to select an item, not open it. Other items in MB require a double-click to open. It's about consistency.
Home Desk ~ MB 3.3 Portable • Questyle CMA400i (ASIO) • Sennheiser HD 660S (balanced) / Audeze EL-8 Closed Back / Fostex TR-X00 Ebony • Teac AI-101DA • Jamo C93 + Dayton Audio SUB-1000
Work Desk ~ MB 3.3 Portable / Tidal • SMSL SU-8 v2 • Nobsound NS-05P • THX AAA 789 • Sennheiser HD 58X (balanced)
OTG ~ FiiO M11 • Audiofly AF180 / B&O H6

Maybe it's because I have to use a touch pad a lot, but I accidentally click on things all the time.

This.
Plus if I meant to right-click (for the artwork options) but left-clicked by mistake.

Never mind then.

Even AIMP is single click and all news sites only require a single click to open an image.
I think you've become accustomed to an antiquated way of thinking.

When I first tried MusicBee, I didn't even realise that you could view album art as I only single clicked on it like I do for all other music applications that I use.
