'delete' element and/or icon?

Could somebody please help me and tell me when and where the 'delete' icons show up?

And secondly, in some old files I have:
<element id="Delete"> (with no mention if it should be an icon, or just have colouring attributes)

But a recent post introduced:
<element id="DeleteIcon">

Are both functional? And if so, where do they both show up?

whatever Delete was, it was long ago removed. I cant find it in v2.2
DeleteIcon overrides the icon (15px in size) that displays in the status bar when an action is being performed, enabling the user to click and cancel the action

When I started skinning, I searched and gathered info everywhere, so some elements I have in some xml's of mine might have once been scribbled on a wall in some cave.

(So it would have better been called (don't hate me) 'CancelIcon')

I created an icon with some colour in it (something red being an obvious choice here), but I found out that any colouring is currently overruled for that icon.

It would be nice if colour and transparency could be respected for that icon.
Otherwise I think it doesn't make much sense to have the option to create a custom icon for that in the first place.

i have changed the behavior for the next update so a customised delete icon is not re-coloured

Perhaps change the name to 'CancelIcon' for correct description, and in case in the future you might need an actual 'delete' icon?
(I believe nobody has yet used this icon in his skin, so it should be doable without problems)
