if I'm on a different place than the Music section

Which node? I can't reproduce it.
From my playlists for example. Let's say the current tab is an auto-playlist named New. If I double click the Artist - Title from the player controls area, it only opens the Music node at the first track, but it doesn't scroll to the target. After one more double click, it goes to the target. That extra double click is unnecessary.

Also the current playing track is not part of that playlist.

I can reproduce it with "highlight selected track in the main panel" setting disabled. If it's enabled, then it directly goes to the track. Yes, it needs to be fixed.

By the way, that double clicking shortcut (locate the file in library) doesn't work at all on the sidebar player. Also that sidebar player should have more options, like that star ratings control from the main player (which is essential for many users). There's place for it.

Another problem: double clicking on the Artist - Title from the player's controls (that wide horizontal bar with play/next/etc buttons) doesn't work as expected (Locate the file in library) if I'm on a different place than the Music section. Instead it goes to Music and only after the second double clicking attempt it really goes to the target.
thats fixed for the next update and also double click on the track text of the sidebar player

Thanks, but it's still the same behaviour: double clicking doesn't go directly to target if a playlist is open in the active tab and the currently playing file is not part of that playlist.

Also please add an option (on/off checkbox) for this double clicking:
1. go to first place it finds the file (e.g. the current playlist), or
2. always go to the Music node and focus the file.

The option #2 would be very helpful for me to quickly go the Music node where is the rest of the discography of the artist from the currently playing file.

This topic is still locked but i have updated the patch version with some visual improvements to the Now Playing Bar (its more similar to v2.5 now) and also for Album Covers, when expanding the album cover, MB now uses blended colours from the album (more like how recent iTunes versions do it)
